But if you're a lvl18 Paladin wanting to be a Hammerdin, who just unlocked Blessed Hammer, you can't even put more than 1 skill point into it. So what happens is that people swap their levelling build, that does decent damage at this point(as those builds often focus on only a couple of core skills), for their "endgame build", that's not even close to where it needs to be, and thus underperforms compared to the levelling build.įor example: a lot of build guides tell the player to max out their main skill first. The same often goes for the synergy skills needed to make that build shine. The problem with this is, that the level you unlock your main skill at, means that you can't level it very high yet, as upgrading them has level requirements.
